I may not be your typical soft spoken, pastel loving, top knot wielding newborn & family photographer, But I love, love, children and my job. I’ll do anything to get genuine smiles…even from the husbands who would rather be anywhere, but in the company of my camera. Putting a cow patty on my head works like a charm, btw! Yep, I’m not above that. It’s all about the giggles, baby!

I am a strong believer in recording life. I back that up with providing a FREE baby plan with every newborn session, to help parents capture the first year of their baby’s life. Within 5 minutes Vanessa had won over my kids. To be able to get my kids to show their true personality for photos when they met her 5 minutes previously, was amazing! Best part was when she said "Ok guys, group hug!" (motioning for THEM to hug) they all went to her to hug HER!! And of course, she obliged. When Vanessa sent me the sneak peek of our session I honestly had tears. The images she captured were so beautiful that I couldn't contain my emotions! I have been wanting to book with her for years but time and procrastination and convincing my photo-phobic husband got in the way! This year I finally did it and I'm SO glad I did!! When I booked my session she had an amazing vision. She helped guide our wardrobe choices, she had accessory ideas, the perfect locations and even brought flowers to our shoot. This girl thinks of everything!

I struggle to get genuine smiles from my kiddos, she had no problem whatsoever. They were giggling in no time, my husband included (yeah, the photo-phobic guy!). She has no problem embarrassing herself or contorting into crazy positions to get the perfect shot. In fact at one point during our session, she was on her knees and elbows in the lake in order to do just that.
